Commercial Officer UK


UK Commercial Officer opportunity working with a market-leading digital health scale-up making a positive impact in the NHS primary care sector.

Our client is one of the UK’s leading developers of digital technologies, helping patients living with long term health conditions (LTCs). They assist their users with self-management of conditions, education, rehabilitation, as well as assisting the clinicians who care for them within new models of care. They currently work with over 200 providers.

They are now looking for a UK Commercial Officer to lead their digital sales strategy while growing and heading up their sales team for the UK and Ireland. This is a great opportunity for someone experienced in strategic leadership and selling digital products into the primary care landscape.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for forecasting, budgeting and analysing profitability 
  • Drive sales from existing accounts and client accounts that you open 
  • Leading from the front, you will inspire a team of sales professionals to grow revenue streams, and sell across the product range 
  • Proactively build a sales pipeline drawing on your own knowledge of the NHS landscape as well as through research 
  • Continually evaluate advertising solutions and team structure to improve day to day business operations 
  • Report to, and collaborate with, the CEO to plan and execute the digital structure for the sales team revenue strategies, to ensure they align with the overall business strategy 
  • Devise KPIs and targets for the sales team in order to measure performance 
  • Build an end-to-end sales process that is scalable, utilising the CRM, marketing and other sales tools 
  • Manage relationships with clients, investors and stakeholders 
  • Maintain up-to-date and comprehensive knowledge of the product range 
  • Develop knowledge of competitors’ products and ensure you and your team are equipped to sell the benefit of the companies products against these 
  • Ensure that all leads are acted upon in a timely, professional and efficient manner 
  • Promote and nurture a welcoming, professional and pleasant environment 
  • Work creatively to ensure their market-leading position 
  • Chair sales board, Review Meetings and Stakeholder Group Meetings

Skills & Experience:

  • Senior-level sales experience, with a minimum of 5 years of demonstrated success managing direct sellers
  • Experience in the digital health or medical devices field
  • Knowledge of the NHS landscape (primary, secondary and community care) and a network of decision-makers within the NHS would be a definite advantage
  • Must have a deep understanding of the digital marketplace
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects at one time
  • Extensive experience working with multiple teams and supporting a dynamic sales team
  • Exceptional attention to detail, ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Knowledge and ability in using CRM systems and effective record keeping
  • Must have a valid driving licence
