Our client is an innovative tech for good company whose software aims to help everyday people secure credit in a safer and more informed fashion. They’re growing at an exciting pace, and are looking for an Operations Manager to help shape the operations function as one of the first hires within the team.
This role would be well suited to someone who’s previously managed projects in a fast-paced tech start-up environment and has an interest in the credit industry.
Main Responsibilities
- Run mid-size multi-sprint projects both within the operations team and across the wider company
- Manage the team workload across a variety of activities and projects
- Act as the point of contact within the team for processes and progress updates
- Assist the wider team when necessary on any issues that require investigation before being scaled up into a project
- Assist in both the hiring and mentoring process to help grow a high performing team
- Build and maintain relationships between internal and external stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and smooth operating
- Use retrospective knowledge of other projects and incidents to learn, grow, and improve future projects and operations
- Experience in a project management or operations role previously working for a fast-paced business
- FinTech or other regulated technology experience highly beneficial
- Proven track record of successfully managing multiple stakeholders
- Experience tracking and reporting team activities, progress, and business cases using a data-driven and logical approach
- Able to thrive in a high-growth business and work across multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong communicator with a persuasive and engaging demeanour
- £40k-50k base
